Alpha Lipoic Acid

Alpha Lipoic Acid, or ALA, is a coenzyme. It is needed to produce normal chemical energy and plays a role in forming nucleic acids, the building blocks of DNA. It has been found to increase glucose uptake in fat and muscle cells and is thought to have roles in cell signalling processes.
