Vitamins and Minerals

Measure the levels of essential vitamins and minerals to help prevent or manage deficiencies. A vitamin or mineral deficiency can have wide-ranging effects including fatigue, low energy and depression.

Vegans and vegetarians are at greater risk of certain deficiencies including vitamin B12.

For those concerned about their diet or concerned about a deficiency in vitamin D, B12, iron, folate, magnesium or zinc, our vitamin and mineral panel provides a comprehensive overview of your nutritional health.

Further investigations through your normal physician may be necessary.

Anaemia Profile

Anaemia is where the haemoglobin within your red blood cells is lower than normal. Haemoglobin is needed to carry oxygen and if there’s not enough there’s a decreased capacity to carry oxygen to the body’s tissue, which can cause fatigue, dizziness and shortness of breath.

The most common nutritional cause of anaemia is through deficiencies of iron, B12 and folate through poor absorption of nutrients (via diet). However, infections, illness and inflammation and genetic disorders can also cause anaemia.

Further investigations through your normal physician may be necessary.

Price: $1980

Diabetes Profile

Type 2 diabetes can in some cases be reversed by dietary and lifestyle changes.

The biomarkers in this test looks at your blood glucose control, how well it’s responding to insulin, for example, and to accurately detect type 2 diabetes.

Further investigations through your normal physician may be necessary.

Price: $800

Vitamin D and Calcium Wellness

Vitamin D is an important vitamin that plays an essential role in the maintenance of bone health and the absorption of calcium and phosphorus. Amongst other roles within the body, it also supports a normal immune system, hormone and overall heart health.

This test measures the level of vitamin D to help guide your preventative health regimen on supplementation.

Further investigations through your normal physician may be necessary.

Price: $890

Liver Wellness

The liver is responsible for many functions including support of vitamin storage, metabolic health and detoxification. This test measures the different enzymes and proteins made by the liver.

Levels outside normal parameters can be indicative of dysfunction secondary to (but not limited to) viral infection, alcohol intake, fatty infiltration and poor nutritional status.

Further investigations through your normal physician may be necessary.

Price: $270

Stress Wellness

In today’s modern, competitive world we are exposed to all kinds of stressful situations, psychosocial as well as physical. Stress can lead to changes in hormone levels, including, amongst others, the incredibly important dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) and cortisol.

While some of these changes are necessary for fight and flight response, prolonged exposure can cause harm to multiple body systems leading to mood disorders, sexual dysfunction, heart disease and other conditions.

Further investigations through your normal physician may be necessary.

Price: $780

Kidney Wellness

The kidneys play a vital role in the regulation of electrolyte concentrations, as well as the production of key hormones (that stimulate red blood cell production). They also excrete waste products and toxins such as creatinine, urea and uric acid.

Abnormal kidney function can lead to a sensation of generally feeling unwell, dehydration, fatigue, and nausea.

Further investigations through your normal physician may be necessary.

Price: $720

B12 Wellness

B12 is an essential vitamin, important for red blood cell production, necessary for optimal nerve function and DNA synthesis. This test assesses the level of total B12 circulating in the body.

The result will help you closely monitor B12 levels and can be used to guide optimal diet and supplementation regimes.

Further investigations through your normal physician may be necessary.

Price: $540

Heart Wellness

The cholesterol profile is an important component of preventative health. This test provides analysis of cholesterol levels, apolipoproteins as well as high sensitivity CRP (C-reactive protein) which are major determinants of long-term cardiovascular health and help establish cardiovascular risk score.

As well as highlighting heart health issues it can also help monitor ongoing treatment, such as statin therapy or dietary and lifestyle efforts to reduce elevated cholesterol.

Further investigations through your normal physician may be necessary.
