N-Acetylcysteine
N-Acetylcysteine, (NAC), is a precursor to cysteine, an amino acid that is a major component of glutathione, the body’s principal antioxidant. NAC, itself can alter the structure of mucous, making it less thick and sticky and has anti-inflammatory properties.
